A documentary for National Geographic that explored Russia through the eyes of it’s football loving inhabitants, sharing intimate stories of fans from loyal followers to fanatics, showing the various, idiosyncratic ways the game is loved and played across the country.

We created a unique look for the opening animation sequence that explained the film’s concept in an accessible, fun and striking way. Created explanatory motion graphics comprised of stylised graphic maps of locations across Russia that included geographic and population data, a VFX manipulated scoreboard, bespoke slideshow projection graphics and an animated journey map visualising the Trans-Siberian express railway passage.
