Animator for Darren McGarvey's Addictions series produced by Tern TV, a series examining Scotland's addiction epidemic through the prism of Darren McGarvey's lived experience and writing, and from first hand experience of a cross section of society including interviews with people in various programs and stages of recovery, emergency services, support and rehabilitation services, academics, government and police professionals.

The series explored the addiction of alcohol and Scotland’s dangerous love affair with the bottle, drug addiction and why Scotland has the highest drug death rate in Europe, and addiction to food, porn, gambling and gaming.

We provided two animated explainers that visualised the neuroscience of addictive exposure and reaction. These animation were made in 3D using character creator 4 to build the human form and a holographic texture to create the brain model. We added 2D text overlays labelling parts of the brain, chemical processes within the brain and hormones as they react to addictive stimuli.
