Beat The
Slam Tent
Relive the Rave. Rewrite the Legacy
Environment and crowd prototype image
Beat the Slam Tent is a standalone digital tribute to the legendary Slam Tent of T in the Park, Scotland’s most iconic electronic music venue and a cornerstone of UK club culture. Part music discovery game, part living archive, it reimagines the atmosphere, attitude and intimacy of a space that shaped generations of ravers.
Set in a stylised, explorable 3D replica of the original venue, players drop into a freeform multiplayer experience where memories take centre stage. Inside the Slam Tent game space they can explore interactive installations, uncover stories, and relive pivotal moments from the tent’s 20-year history. Mission-based activities, like navigating the dance crowd, fetch missions, follow missions, and sneaking past security to get on stage, offer playful, culturally rich interactions that blur fact and fiction.
Why now?
Music venues are vanishing. Culture is being lost. Beat the Slam Tent turns memory into interactive legacy, preserving the sound, feel, and folklore of a stage that defined a generation.

Built in Unreal Engine.
Powered by Community.
Developed by the team behind Campfires, an Innovate UK–funded gamified music discovery platform, Beat the Slam Tent builds on proven R&D foundations, multiplayer prototyping, and real-time design pipelines. Now supported by CoSTAR and developed in Unreal Engine, the project pushes forward our work in:
Non-linear, narrative-driven world-building
Experimental multiplayer and social mechanics
Audio-responsive spatial design and stylised festival environments
Rigged character samples
This isn’t a reconstruction - it’s a reinvention.
We are working with the techno act Slam, Soma Records and the visual artists who originally created experiential content for the tent. The project builds on the R&D and technical foundations of our Campfires platform benefiting from previous Innovate UK-backed work and current AHRC-support development.
Terrain, stage rig and crowd
