For BBC One’s Make It At Market, SUUM Studio developed a comprehensive branding and animation package, combining graphic design, title sequence assets, and craft object animation. Designed for broadcast, streaming, and marketing, our work ensured a cohesive visual identity across international platforms.
Our art direction and motion graphics integrated traditional craftsmanship with modern production techniques. Branding elements were applied to stone plinths, wooden boards, and handcrafted materials, using techniques like carving and printmaking to reflect the show’s artisan ethos. These stylistic choices were carried through typographic elements, chapter headings, bumpers, and animated explainer sequences, reinforcing the show's connection to traditional skills while maintaining a contemporary visual appeal.
As the series followed makers transitioning from hobbyists to professionals, our graphics supported key moments, highlighting the Volume Piece and Favourite Piece reveals. The visual identity, inspired by Arts and Crafts movement motifs, stained glass aesthetics, and printmaking techniques, resonated with prestige TV audiences and younger viewers drawn to craftsmanship and design.
Following a highly successful first season, season two expanded the brand identity while maintaining the distinctive visual language established in the original series. SUUM Studio’s animation and motion design treatments provided continuity across broadcast, streaming platforms, and social media marketing—ensuring a seamless, high-impact visual experience that enhanced audience engagement.
